These exhaust sleeves were designed to protect vulnerable components and prevent heat from transferring into vehicle cabins.

Users asked and Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) delivered. DEI’s popular Titanium Knitted Sleeves are now available in a smaller size to fit 3-inch to 3.5-inch (#10042) OD exhaust and turbo pipes up to 36 inches in length. Previously available in 12-inch and 24-inch lengths to fit 4-inch to 5-inch pipes, the sleeves have a max temperature rating of 1800 degrees Fahrenheit and a continuous rating of 1382 degrees Fahrenheit. They can be cut to fit any application and are also available in special-order custom lengths.

“Users have found many uses for our Titanium Knitted Sleeves, and some began asking for a smaller diameter to fit certain turbo downpipes,” said Mike Buca of DEI. “These versatile sleeves can expand up to 3.5 inch[es] in diameter, offering heat protection for a variety of street and race machines.”

Designed to protect vulnerable components and prevent heat from transferring into vehicle cabins, the sleeves are made from a thick basalt material that expands over sensor bungs and flanges and can be rolled at the ends. Kits include locking ties and tool to secure the sleeves to the pipes.

The sleeves have passed a variety of flammability, burn and salt spray tests for reliability, offering complete protection for vulnerable components and bodywork.
