Windham Weaponry, of Maine, just released a new rifle in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Logically named the “10th Anniversary Rifle,” this new offering continues the Windham tradition of building solid components and full rifles based on the Stoner design. Unlike the company’s other wares, this one sports just a little flash.

The 10th Anniversary Rifle is a 5.56 NATO/.223 Remington AR. Its 16-inch barrel has a 1:9 twist and is made of chrome moly vanadium steel. It’s chrome-lined and has a gold-tone titanium nitride finish, as does the matching A2 flash hider. Surrounding the barrel is Windham Weaponry’s distinctive 15-inch free-floating, railed handguard, which also supports a full-length rail. Flip-up rear and front sights from Kriss are included as well.

In the middle is a forged T6 7075 aluminum receiver with an aluminum trigger guard. It has a black anodized finish, but the castle nut, safety, and bolt catch have a gold-colored finish, too. On the right of the receiver is white 10th Anniversary branding in place of Windham’s standard imprint. The trigger is a standard Mil-Spec. A standard safety lever is included with visual position indicators on both sides of the lower. A Hogue Beavertail pistol grip helps maintain a classic A2 profile. Farther back, a minimalist stock by Mission First Tactical over a Mil-Spec buffer tube, adds a bit of modern flair. Swivel loops for a sling are included for the shooter, too.

Without the included 30-round magazine, the 10th Anniversary Rifle weighs 6.0 pounds. Its length is 32.75″ – 36.83″ depending on stock position. The rifle ships with a hard plastic case and web sling.

All the included accoutrements make this AR one that’s ready to enjoy right out of the box. At $1,199, this is a modestly-priced way to commemorate a decade of business, especially considering the inclusion of components that make it range-ready.
